I was born and raised in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. As a kid I was always curious and loved to explore everywhere I went. I would always ask my parents what certain things were before and loved learning the history on buildings and local places. When I was around 7 or 8 my grandfather would take me around to abandoned houses and we would stop so I could look at them while he told me what he knew about it.

Later on as a freshman in high school I began to watch people like Dan Bell and the Proper People. My love for abandoned buildings and history came back to life and I decided to start filming. My first location was a small abandoned house across the street from mine that I filmed on a cell phone and uploaded. I eventually used a Go-Pro and later a point and shoot until I finally got my first DSLR. During the beginning phases of my channel up until around 2016 my grandfather was still accompanying me until I could drive.

The channel originally started as Master of Decay and was later changed to Nation Decay in late 2016. As of 2019 the "of" has been dropped from the name. I plan to continue the channel to create short films and more as well as regular explorations, although this is more of a hobby for me than anything else
