So to start out this exploration was not a planned one. We were making a trip to pick up a puppy from an old friend in pittsburgh PA. It was to be a long drive and I had spent hours researching thinking that there certainly must be something abandoned and worth stopping at on the way as we couldn't go far off route because we were on the clock in a way. On the way down I decided that I should give it one more shot after I found nothing the previous day of research and I was determined to not give up. Luck played my way when I found an article of an abandoned neighborhood called lincoln way outside of pittsburgh. I thought for sure it would be too out of the way but to my suprise it was on the way home, just a different way than we came. I had to go. We pulled up and parked then entered easily past the caution tape strung across the street enterance. Many of the homes had been burned down. The ones still standing were in different levels of decay, many worse than others and they got worse the farther up the street you went. I wish I could have been less rushed but I managed to pull it off and in the end produced one of my favorite videos and favorite photo collections.
